Our Story

Erick Del Angel was born in Ozuluama, Veracruz, Mexico, and grew up inspired by the values instilled in him by his parents and immediate family. Growing up, he was influenced by his family’s hardworking ethic and learned to value passion and respect in his work. This instilled in him a drive to always strive for the best possible outcomes. Even as he progressed in his career, he remained mindful of his roots and family traditions.

In 1996, at the age of 20, Erick immigrated to the United States with a vision of achieving growth in all aspects of his life. With only a few dollars in his pocket, he made his way to the United States and began his career in the landscaping industry. Years later, he worked tirelessly towards his aspiration of becoming a business owner. Erick’s entrepreneurial goal developed at a young age, and he remained driven to expand growth and achieve success.

The idea to start a restaurant was sparked when Erick and his brother Jose “Chuy” were in the Exton area. Years ago, it was hard to find Mexican restaurants that offered quick service, so customers could leave within minutes. In 2012, the vision for Taco Maya was born and the game changed.

March 17th, 2013 was a special day for us as we opened our doors to our first customers. It has been our top priority to serve our customers with delicious, fresh, and speedy food. We understand the power of food cravings and how they can be overwhelming, which is why we use family recipes inspired by our hometown traditions to satisfy them.
